（1） Appearance

Generally, good products have a smooth appearance, no burrs or peaks, and are made of imported high-quality PC materials with good flame retardant properties. Some products have a smooth surface and seem to have been coated with a layer of oil, but their color is pale and their texture is coarse. These materials have poor flame retardancy and pose a fire hazard to household electricity use. The style and color of the switch should match the overall style of the interior. For example, if the overall color tone of the interior decoration is light, dark switches such as black and brown should not be used.

High quality switches are mostly made of advanced materials such as bulletproof glue, which have high fire resistance, moisture resistance, and impact resistance. The surface is smooth, and when purchasing, one should consider the tactile sensation and preliminarily judge the material of the switch based on the tactile sensation, and inquire with the distributor. Generally speaking, products with a surface that is not very smooth and feels thin and brittle to the touch are unreliable in terms of their performance. If it is made of alloy or thin copper sheet, it will not have the same weight and quality.

（4） Brand

Encourage everyone to choose well-known brands. Because the quality of switches is related to the normal use of electrical appliances and even the convenience of daily life. Many dealers have expressed the same view that many switches or sockets produced are very unreliable and do not last long, and frequent replacement is obviously very troublesome; But most well-known brands will make effective promises to consumers, such as "usable for 15 years", "guaranteed for 12 years of service life", "can be switched on and off continuously 10000 times", etc.

Try to purchase from designated authorized stores or sales points as much as possible, and request a shopping invoice to ensure that you can enjoy future after-sales service.

（6） Identification

Pay attention to the markings on the base of switches and sockets, including Great Wall Certification (CCCE) and rated current and voltage. The rated current of the commonly used household switches in the market is 16A, and the socket current is 10A. The larger sockets for air conditioners and water heaters have 16A. Good products clearly indicate the available current intensity, while inferior products have vague labeling and exaggerated data, making it impossible to determine whether the rated current indicated can safely pass through without causing smoke to fill the house.
